Impressed with Customer Services
What is it about customer service these days? When was the last time you bought a product or service and everything was right first time?
It very rarely happens these days. I went to a famous fried chicken establishment the other day and not only did I have to wait for nearly half an hour for my ‘fast-food’ but when i got it the order was wrong and it was cold! When we got the works van serviced the other month, we had to take it back for new wheels because they’d neglected to fasten the back wheel nuts properly and our driver could have died! we pay ever increasing amounts of tax to a set of blithering idiots, who in turn send the money to another set of blithering idiots called ‘Bankers’ who in turn lose all our money and bankrupt the country, who then in turn reward their failings with a huge bonus and then hold out thier hand for more money knowing full well that the first set of blithering idiots will bail them out again once they’ve managed to rob a bit more off the tax payer!! Like Robin Hood But Backwards! Robbing the poor and giving it to the rich!!
So, up until a couple of days ago I was starting to panic about the state of everything!! Public services, national debt, tax, private sector customer services etc, etc, etc. But my faith has been restored!
My wifes car broke down the other day and in the coolant header tank the consistency of the coolant was more like coffee! Immediately panick ensued and the thought of having to pay for the head gasket (which is what we thought it was) started to give me nightmares! the following day I contacted Vauxhall to ask about warranty, who in turn told me to take it to my local Vauxhall dealer which is Perrys on Claycliffe Rd in Barnsley. Fearing the worst and expecting problems I first called the AA to help me get the car there without risking running the engine . the AA man was brill, really helpful, explained stuff beyond the necessary and even gave me a lift home after we’d dropped it off at Perrys. Perrys had been brilliant as well, booked it in, clarified that (although we feared the worst due to the car being more than two years old) the car was under warranty and it was in fact the automatic gearbox which was causung the problems. It could have stopped there and I would have not compalined in the slightest, but then they gave my wife a courtesy car as well. Just to make things even better the car is going to be ready this afternoon! All Under warranty and all free!! I know that Vauxhall offer a three year warranty and everything should have been done as it has. But the service I have recieved from Perrys has been Fantastic! When I next go looking for a new car I’m off to Perrys!! Thankyou Mr AA man and thankyou very much Perrys!!
